The fourth relay bike ride was yet again a great day, even though the weather could have been better. The riders struggled against a strong wind all the way back. They arrived back to a great reception from the mayor and friends and family.
A big well done to Lisa and Jojo who were the top fund raisers, the total money raised being £900, with £500 going to the fibro support group who will be purchasing a popup gazebo and subsidising bike riding at Thornes park. Pinderfields childrens ward was presented with a cheque for £400 which will be used to buy an ipad.
We are waiting for Josie and her lodger to arrange the next fun day at the Castlefields, the landlord Chris will be arranging a table football game for next time.
Well done to Lauren for providing a girl biker of the future (hope she's not like her mum and actually does it). Good luck to Joanne & Racheal who are both having boys in November.
We will all be there to watch the three new mums ride the whole 72 miles next year.
The team manager, susan, would like to thank everbody who has supported us this year.
